Velpo Waldrope Jr., 74, of Sweet Water died Jan. 29, 2023 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born Oct. 11, 1948 in Montgomery to Velpo and Elsie Mae Waldrope. He was a retired electrician and a member of Hoboken Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Nell H. Waldrope; daughter, Jennifer Waldrope (Timmy) Worley; two sisters, Leona Morrison and Pat Shields; brother, James Waldrope; brother-in-law, Jerry Huckabee; grandchild, Gant Worley; and several nieces and nephews.
