Chilton Baptist Church will host Fifth-Sunday Singing Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. The Clarke County Historical Society will meet Sunday, Jan. 29 at Grove Hill City Hall. Sherman Keil Goodman of Coffeeville will present a history of Clarke County Training School. The school, in Coffeeville, was the first high school for African-American youth in Clarke County. The school’s roots date to 1916 and by 1922 school buildings were in place named the Clarke County Training School.
