December 29, 201111 years ago A 300-job Chinese Copper tubing plant is inching ever closer to reality for the area. Monday night, the City Council of Thomasville and Thomasville Industrial Board approved a number measures helping to pave the way for the plant. The city industrial board approved a cooperative agreement, joining the City of Pine Hill and Wilcox County to form an organization similar to a cooperative district. The district will work with the Wilcox County Industrial Development authority as its agent to purchase 265 acres of land to develop the Thomasville-West Wilcox Industrial Park.
