Vera Wiggins Davenport, 91, of Gulf Shores, died Feb. 23, 2023 at South Baldwin Medical Center in Foley. She was born Dec. 1, 1933 in Clarke County. She was a retired nurse. She is survived by two sons, John Davenport and David Davenport; sister, Geraldine Powell; two brothers, Ellis Wiggins and Jerry Wiggins;and two grandchildren, Steve Davenport and Angela Davenport. Graveside funeral services were at Choctaw Corner Cemetery on Feb. 27, 2023 with the Rev. Marvin Smith, Jr. officiating and O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.
