Katherine Powell Wilson, 71 of Dickinson, died Feb. 23, 2023 at her home. She was born Dec. 2, 1951 in Grove Hill to Thomas Heflin Powell and Ruby Jewell Powell. She retired after 42 years as a licensed practical nurse from Grove Hill Memorial Hospital, and she attended First Baptist Church Fulton. She is survived by her son, Phillip Allen (Tracy) Averitt; her fiance’ for 17 plus years, John Green; three brothers, Tim (Felicia) Powell, Allen (Gail) Powell, and Jody (Donna) Powell; four sisters, Sarah Roberts, Susan (Darrin) Dunn, Marilyn Jackson, and Rebecca (Roland) Williams; and three grandchildren.
