On a sun-dappled day in the Louisiana spring, we, his parents, brothers, sister, and sister-in-love gathered to bid farewell to Lee Cogle Morgan. We laid him to rest under the canopy of a towering oak tree possessing such a commanding spirit and quiet dignity that it seemed to have been planted for this very purpose.
