Ramon “Cowboy” Newton, 87, of Thomasville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 15, 2023. He was born in Bashi on Nov. 26, 1935 to Robert Ivy Newton and Dollie (Walker) Magdeline. He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1954. After high school he attended a business school for accounting and served his country in the Army for two years. He retired from Weyerhauser Paper Mill as a stockroom clerk after 37 years of service.
