Florence Gwendolyn Jones, 80, of Dixons Mills died May 16, 2023 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. She was born Nov. 23, 1942 in Biloxi, Miss. to Hillard Lavon and Evelyn Hortense Fortson. She was a former mail carrier and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Gregory Lee (Cindy) Jones; daughter, Donna (Ted) Luker; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, May 19, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church and O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home. Burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery in Dixons Mills with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.
