June 24, 199724 years ago A new elementary principal and middle school assistant principal were named during the Thomasville City Board of Education’s meeting last Thursday night, June 19. Helen Stephens replaced retiring Thomasville Elementary School Principal Howard Jackson. Mrs. Stephens has been the school’s guidance counselor for the past 12 years and was a physical education teacher for the 11 years prior. She also had six years’ experience as a physical education teacher before coming to Thomasville.
