August 198637 years ago Monday afternoon, J&J Fast foods personnel held groundbreaking ceremonies for Ward’s Restaurant to come to Thomasville, and Tuesday morning McCain Realty from Citronelle moved into begin the work. The fast food restaurant will be located on Hwy. 43, between United Security’s branch bank and Jefferson Federal Savings and Loan Association building. Thomasville Academy cheerleaders competed with 36 other private schools, with over 500 cheerleaders, and brought home three superior ribbons; four excellent ribbons and one spirit stick.
