Commissioners approved resolutions that recognized Clarke County E-911 system members as part of National Public Safety Telecommunicator’s Week. Every year during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community are honored. This week-long event began in 1981 and was founded by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California. Cedoria Wright, representing the county’s 9-1-1 operators, was present for the meeting.
