Bring your cardboard boxes, newspapers, magazines, catalogs and cans…help to keep these items out of the landfills. Southwest Alabama RSVP recycles the abovementioned items. Alabama currently has 31 municipal landfills and 54 industrial landfills. RSVP is trying to not add to this number. You may think, “What I have isn’t going to make that big of a difference.” But every little bit counts. Last year 3.12 tons of paper (in the forms listed above) were recycled at the Thomasville Recycling Site located in the Southwest Alabama RSVP building, instead of being tossed in the landfills.
