Richard E. Martindale, 83, of Thomasville, passed away at home on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024 due to natural causes. Richard was born in Jasper, Texas on Sept. 18, 1940 to Herman Martindale and Edith Battle Martindale. He was the first child, and the family welcomed his only sibling, a sister, Betty Sue Martindale (Walden) in 1942. He was the first grandson of James Gustavius Martindale and Fannie Pickle Martindale and James Bourne Battle and Sally Feezor Battle.
