Wanda Sue Gates Rish, age 69, of Thomasville, died Aug. 3, 2024, at her home. She was born Nov. 25, 1954 in Thomasville, to Leroy Gates and Oleta Gates. She was a retired educator and a member of Thomasville Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert Jackson Rish; and three children, Jennifer Holly Hutto, Robert Bishop Rish, and Abbey Rish Stebbins. Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Ty Parten officiating. Burial followed at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.
