On Aug. 18 at 4:50 a.m., the Thomasville Fire Department (TFD) received a call to a house fire fully involved at 1451 Lakewood Dr. One death was recorded as Rex Wood. Apparatuses 108, 109, 104, 105, and 102 responded to the call. When firefighters arrived on the scene, apparatus 108 was told that a person was trapped inside the home.
