There are times when living in a small town has its disadvantages. One of those times happened today when I washed the curtains that hung in my upstairs bathroom for a number of years. I noticed they were beginning to brown around the edges, so I decided they needed a good washing. I wanted to make sure that they were sparkling clean again, so I used hot water and added bleach. Never did I dream that one of the panels would dry rot and leave me a panel short. I loved those curtains. They were Battenburg lace trimmed broadcloth panels....
