William Dennis Dixon, age 87, of Thomasville, died Aug. 28, 2024 at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 1936 in Linden, to Joe Rogers and Bessie Lee Dixon. He retired after 38 years as a paper mill turbine generator operator. William was a member of Thomasville Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Ann Dixon; son, Joseph William Dixon; daughters, Sheryl Ann Denton and Elizabeth Dawn Collins; brother, Robert Dixon; sister, Lavada Dixon; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
