He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Andrew Clayton Bearden Sr. and Vera Hudson Bearden. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Privett; his son, Dr. Jason Randall Bearden (Elizabeth); his two grandsons, Holman and Henry; and Ranjeev Acharya, whom he considered a son.
