Kick-starting the ALPALS (Alabama People Against a Littered State) again after years of it being dormant in Clarke County, the state has taken notice. Jamie Mitchell, executive director of ALPALS, credited Clarke County Commissioner Barry Chancey for bringing the program back to life in the area. “Barry has done a great job bringing the community together,” Mitchell said. “We’ve tried to get all of our counties on board to have cleanups and use our support in that effort.
