In his new book, “Praying in the Pine Straw,” Clarke County native and journalist Robert C. Morgan deals with the religious camp-meeting phenomenon of the 19th and early 20th centuries in Alabama. Morgan worked at The Clarke County Democrat and as a reporter and columnist for Gulf Coast Newspapers in Baldwin County.
