Children attending the Thomasville Public Library’s Summer Library Program heard stories from local firefighters on July 2 during Local Legends Story Time. Charlie Dixon and Fred Culpepper of the Thomasville Fire Department shared stories with children and families before giving attendees an up-close look at a fire truck parked outside the library. The Local Legends Story Time series is held each Thursday at 10 a.m. throughout July as part of the TPL’s Summer Library Program. Each week features members of the community who visit the library to read to children and share about their professions or experiences.
