50 years ago February 3, 1972 From Our Files: The Thomasville Times C.D. Moore, Alabama Power Company’s local manager at Thomasville, today delivered a check for ,117.56, to Mayor V.C. Wilkinson in payment of the company’s 1972 municipal license to Thomasville. Congressman Jack Edwards, R-Ala., announced today that President Nixon has requested .5 million in his proposed Fiscal Year 1974 Budget to Congress to improve and continue First District waterway projects.
