Dovie Melton Smith Sr., 85, a retired truck driver of Sweet Water died Jan. 26, 2022 at Thomasville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 18, 1936 in Nicholsville to John Dovie and Mattie Lyne Smith. He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Smith; two sons, John W. (Donna) Smith and Dovie M. (Amanda) Smith Jr., all of Nicholsville; daughter, Theresa Smith (Mac) Mayo of Kingwood, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and plenty of beloved family and friends.
