Eleven counts of wrongdoing are alleged by the recent Clarke County Grand Jury indictment of former Sheriff Ray Norris. Most are related to election campaign matters — campaign monies converted to his personal use and not reporting campaign donations. He is also cited for using his office for personal gain, for not filing a statement of economic interests form related to outside business interests and for “willful attempt” to evade paying Alabama income tax.
