Being back home after an extended Thanksgiving holiday is not a bad thing. Thanksgiving was celebrated in the Aiken, S.C., area with extended family and friends. It was a great Thanksgiving because I only had to cook one thing. Everybody brought something so with that many people (nearly 40) it was easy, especially since we now use paper plates. Actually, these plates were plastic and had a platinum rim around them. I felt kind of guilty seeing them thrown in the trash at the end of the meal. My mama would have washed them and used them 10 more times....
