Erin Cogle Jowers, 99, a long-time resident of Leeds, went to her heavenly home Nov. 17, 2021. She was born Jan. 2, 1922 in Dixon’s Mills to Bruce Arnold and Rosa Quarles Cogle. She graduated high school in 1940 and attended Bob Jones College in Cleveland, Tenn. for two years, where she completed the business program and began studies in home economics. She continued her studies at the University of Alabama until she married Afton Jowers Jan. 10, 1943 in her parent’s home in Dixon’s Mills.
