William Jasper "Jackie" Autery, 77, of Thomasville passed away March 4, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born Jan. 16, 1945 in Vineland to Stanley C. and Kate Autery. Once he graduated high school he began a career as a merchant marine until the Vietnam conflict peaked and he chose to enlist in the military, where he served his country as a hero and was awarded six medals, one being the Bronze Star Medal.
