Portions of three Clarke County dirt roads have been surfaced — the Swimming Pool Road shown here south of Thomasville, connecting Highway 43 to Fulton, the Mt. Zion Road west of Grove Hill and the Piney Woods Road south of Grove Hill. The surfacing, using CDBG funds, isn’t a finished asphalt surface but has a rock or slag top layer and was used to get more coverage for the money.
