Three industrial plant facilities in Thomasville are being put to use. Mayor Sheldon Day told city council members Monday night that Scotch Plywood of Fulton has purchased the old Metals USA facility to use as a warehouse. Scotch had previously leased the space which has a covered rail spur. Also, the two Energex sites are under contract and will be put to use soon. Day said he could not give any details right now.
