Beulah Phillips Smyly, 83, a homemaker of Thomasville, died Feb. 9, 2022 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Miss. She was born Sept. 4, 1938 in Thomasville to Ellis James and Nora Clan Luker. Her children tell everyone that she was the best cook around. She was a member of Creels Chapel United Methodist Church and an avid University of Alabama fan. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Huey Herman Phillips and Ruben James Smyly Jr.; and son, Rocky Phillips.
