The city of Thomasville and the immediate surrounding areas missed the worst of the bad weather last Wednesday and Thursday, March 30 as tornadoes and straight-line winds hit Alabama. However, damages were close by as the central part of Clarke County had a damaging tornado and straight-line winds. Neighboring Choctaw County was hit as was Nanafalia and Camden. All total, at least 20 tornadoes were reported in Alabama the evening of March 30.
