Litter is a continuing problem in Clarke County with roadside littering and illegal dumps. County commissioners talked about the issue at the end of their meeting Tuesday. Commissioner Stan Hutto sparked the discussion when he asked Sheriff DeWayne Smith about the status of restarting a work release garbage pickup effort. Smith replied that he was awaiting a dumpster.
