91 years agoMarch 19, 1931 Plans for unveiling the marker at the site of Old Fort Sinquefield, near Whatley, on Sunday, March 29 are now completed. An interesting program is being arranged. Doubtless a representative from the Department of History in Montgomery will deliver an address and the Thomasville High School Band has kindly agreed to furnish music. It is hoped that all school children in the county can be present. The exercises will begin about two-thirty in the afternoon.
