I kicked off the Memorial Day weekend with nine holes of golf at the Thomasville Golf and Recreation Club. I played alone, having played only a few times since 1999. My game is not quite ready for the close scrutiny of others and there is of course a concern for everyone’s safety. Saturday afternoon Peggy and I drove to Milton Fla., to visit with our daughter Julie and most of her family. Grace Anne is still at Auburn. We have mostly just chilled out, enjoying each other’s company, watching some old movies and a couple of episodes of “Downton Abbey.”...
