Thomasville resident, Ronald Austin was visiting the Thomasville Post Office to mail a letter when he almost stepped on the snake shown above. The snake was roughly about 18 to 20 inches long. Austin commented that it was very aggressive, unafraid of him and in a striking position. He called the Thomasville Police Department who resolved the issue with the unwanted scaly intruder. Debate is still on going as to what type of snake this is but the post office personel said to their knowledge it was a chicken snake.
