18 years agoAug. 26, 2004 More than 30 people gathered around Pine Hill Town Hall anticipating the result of Tuesday evening’s election. An impressive 333 of 600 registered voters, better than average, turned out to participate in the democratic process. Incumbent mayor Harry Mason retained his position, garnering 57 percent of the popular vote, or 228 votes. He defeated J.D. Nelson with 21 votes and Bobbie “Bull” Smith with 83 votes.
