Seven Clarke-Washington EMC linemen left last week for Lee County Electric Cooperative in the north Fort Myers, Fla. area to assist in power restoration efforts following Hurricane Ian. Ian left LCEC with catastrophic damage to the system. Sixty-eight percent of the cooperative was without power after Ian. Full restoration is expected to take weeks to complete.
