Billy Norris Thornton, 87, of Chatom, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was born in Washington County Nov. 4, 1934. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a longstanding member of Chatom Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Employed by Ciba Geigy in McIntosh for 40 years, Billy was a family man and loved to visit with his many friends. His favorite place was in the swing on the front porch at his camp.
