Kathryn Tucker Windham famously wrote about ghosts. She was one of Alabama’s most well-known storytellers, and I did get to meet her in person once. I went to an event at a house in the woods, somewhere out towards Whatley, that I could not find again on a bet. The house was beautifully restored and had a large wrap-around porch.
