With the threat of severe weather approaching, Jackson City Council’s regular meeting was brief. All council members were present at Tuesday’s meeting. Jackson Police Officer Griffin Mullinix was promoted to the rank of corporal at the council meeting. JPD Chief Jerry Taylor conducted the ceremony with Mullinix’s wife, Samantha, pinning the badge. The officer’s parents, Donette and Tim Mullinix and grandmother Kathleen Dunegan were present for the occasion.
