A Clarke County man incarcerated in the Alabama prison system died after what is being called an apparent inmate-on-inmate assault. Ariene Kimbrough was found dead in his cell Wednesday, Jan. 4 at the Limestone Correctional Facility in north Alabama, the Alabama Department of Corrections reported. Kimbrough was 35 years old. He was serving a 20- year sentence for robbery in Clarke County. Kimbrough was from Lower Peach Tree and had three teen-aged children.
