Ruby James Howell, a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a resident of St. Stephens, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022 while at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. She was born on Sept. 15, 1947 to Ruth L. Harris and James Stately in Cleveland, Ohio, where she attended Nathan Hale High School. Later in life she met and married Johnnie L. Howell and they were married 57 years before his passing. Ruby was very loving and kind. She loved to cook and dance.
