The Leroy High School Lady Bears’ Campbell Newell signs with the University of Mobile on Tuesday, Dec. 6 to play softball on scholarship. The senior shortstop is a five-year starter for the Lady Bears. In her career she has played in 162 games with a .410 BA, 23 HR, 161 RBI and 178 runs. Newell was named to the 2021 ASWA Terrific 20 team and All State Honorable mention in 2019 and 2021.
