The Jackson Academy Eagles defeated the South Choctaw Academy Rebels 50-36 in the first basketball game of the season Dec. 5. Colton Sullivan scored 6 of the 16 open period points to give the Eagles a 16-6 lead starting the second period. The Eagles added 7 more points to take a 23-15 lead into halftime. Sullivan and Nathan James both scored 4 points in the third period to increase the Eagles’ lead to 38-20 going into the fourth period.
