Leon Edgar of Jackson, better known to family and friends as "Skully," exchanged this life for eternity on Thursday, April 20, 2023, while at Jackson Medical Center. He was born to the parentage of Wyrean Daffin Edgar and Earnest Edgar Jr. on Nov. 6, 1962. At an early age he joined the St. Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. F. D. Craig. Leon was a 1981 graduate of Jackson High School, where he excelled in football, track and basketball. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
