Howell’s Shoes ‘N Things closed last Saturday after 38 years in business. Carolyn Howell, right, has decided to retire at the age of 90. She plans to move to Tuscaloosa to be near her daughter and grandchildren. With Mrs. Howell is longtime employee and friend Sandra Faris.
