Roy L. Stabler Jr., a native of Jackson, has accepted the position of head coach and director of football at Southwest Florida Christian Academy. Coach Stabler excelled in football and basketball while growing up in Jackson and was offered scholarships for both. Football, however, was his first love. He played college football at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned 2nd team All-American honors. Following college, Stabler played indoor football for the former Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre’s family in the NIFL/IPFL, ultimately winning Conference and Arena Championships.
