John T. Moore, Deputy Chief of the Jackson Police Department, has reported the missing child, 14- year-old Leah McDonald, has been found and is safe. The Jackson Police Department greatly appreciates the United States Marshals Service for all of their help in this case. JPD also appreciates all of our law enforcement partners, news outlets, and the public for all of their efforts in successfully resolving this case. The investigation is on-going, and criminal charges are pending for those who assisted Leah in leaving Jackson, as well as harboring her during her absence.
