Mayor Paul South presided over the regular meeting of the Jackson City Council Tuesday, July 25. With no items on the agenda, the mayor reported on several ongoing projects. The mayor said hopefully the new pool on Hwy. 177 will open next week. District 1 council member Kedrick Bettis asked how long the pool would remain open.
