JACKSON — Community leaders, hospital officials and local residents gathered on July 23 to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for healthcare in Jackson as Jackson Medical Center officially broke ground on a million expansion that will include a new emergency department, a new physicians clinic and improvements to the existing hospital. The project includes construction of a 6,300-square-foot emergency department, a 5,700-square-foot medical clinic and a new roof for the existing hospital.
